Humus Terra

Our vision

This beautiful region has been shaped by nature, rich folk traditions and history. Today, unfortunately, an ageing population, migration to cities and abroad, and unemployment are leading to the loss of farmland and biodiversity.

Our small team has decades of experience in horticulture, seed saving and plant sales. With unwavering dedication, its members live in harmony with nature and maintain deep connections to the region.

We are actively committed to revitalising village life. We know the villagers and understand their needs and concerns very well.

We have already successfully completed several significant projects with ecological, horticultural and social relevance. Together, we are working to help ecological agriculture with rich biodiversity take root again in Kalotaszeg and the surrounding area. Our dream is to extend our work throughout Transylvania and Romania.

Nature

Our landscape is shaped by nature, traditional gardens and regional diversity.

Community

We support village communities, cooperation and the exchange between traditional and new knowledge.

Seeds

We collect and propagate heritage varieties, preserving them for the future.
